Larry Zoll, Principal

For nearly a decade, Larry Zoll has been working with lights in a variety of functions. His passion for lighting and lighting control has developed through working in multiple arenas of the lighting industry, from theatrical electrician to programmer to systems designer. Larry holds a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from the University of Maryland, where his graduate work provided him with the tools to combine a vocabulary in light and a passion for technology into a skill set aimed at providing clients with the highest caliber results.

Lighting Design

With a background in both the theatre and lighting industries, Larry Zoll incorporates technical craft with conceptual vision and brings an artist’s eye to raw schematics. From architainment to corporate events to performances, ZD&C combines Zoll’s artistic vision with the latest lighting technologies to create stunning visual displays.

Lighting Control System Design

ZD&C offers lighting control system design services for architectural applications and events with our extensive experience with performance and architectural systems including:

•LED technologies
•Green control and fixture solutions
•Intelligent lighting instruments
•DMX/RDM controllers and architectural control systems from manufacturers including: Color Kinetics, Interactive Technologies, Enttec, etc.

Programming

Live events and complex architectural systems can be programmed and preprogrammed using ZD&C’s in-house control systems, which include Light Factory and Jands Vista. ZD&C can assist architects and designers with previously designed programming systems in the pre-installation phase. We collaborate with both specifiers and end users to realize visually striking looks for which specifiers designed and end users hoped.

Support Services

Our support services can be as expansive as you need them to be. ZD&C is more than just outsourcing: we can become the branch office to check in on multiple projects, to hire and manage crew services for hang and focus, to tackle the odd support issue and provide innovative solutions. ZD&C can optimize your process and project flow by offering project management assistance.
